As I opened my mailbox in the Post Office one day, I was surprised to see that the letter I posted few months ago came back to me untampered. On the envelope that contained the letter was boldly written – BACK TO SENDER!

I really felt bad because the information I intended to pass to my beloved friend was neatly packaged back to me, as if it is being said, “take your letter, keep the message to yourself, your friend doesn’t need it”.

A friend of mine on Facebook was recently advising me to do away with human relationships and start befriending dogs. His reason was that dogs love unconditionally and do not bear grief for too long. He swore to give me a thousand and one reasons why I should start befriending dogs instead of human beings.

Well, I could not wait to hear all that but replied back to him carefully and lovingly advising him, that God was not wrong in His creation when He made man and gave him a woman to be his companion. I told him that though animals are created by God to serve their own purposes, which are quite different from man’s, and so cannot wrestle positions with human beings, otherwise, we would be incurring God’s wrath if we try to change His will for His children.

That my friend was not the type that takes advice from others and so he got me deleted from his lists of friends. As a high-class citizen of heaven, whom heaven’s Supreme Court ruled in his favour, “Not Guilty”, there is no way that I can deliberately commit any more hell-raising sin, because the penalties will be endless. Such sins will probably earn me multiple life sentences without parole because I knowingly walked into them.

Beloved, may the love of dogs never take the position of your fellow human beings in your life! How will it look like considering that you are spending millions of money on dogs while a fellow human being I dying of hunger? God commands that we love our neighbours as we love ourselves. Our eternal security depends on how much of God we have in us. If you back away from obeying the Word of God, you will not be eternally secure. To have eternal security is to keep your mind on pure things (Philippians 4:8).

Most of the things we see that are happening today in the world are designs from the pit of hell. Their aim is to take people’s minds away from God through some corrupt and diverse ways. The Bible tells us that God is pure, and so when you take Him out of things, you only succeed in removing the purity. Anything that causes God to flee, or anything that is not in line with the scriptures, is not in line with purity, and so must be left alone.

Though in this generation, God’s position may be challenged, but it will never be changed. Some people may try to rise up against God in different ways, but they cannot take God’s position. He is Almighty and superior! Whenever we need divine help, we always run to God so that He will help us carry our burdens. We do that because we know that God’s throne is where we get help. God knows that man needs help and so He gave him a woman. Our relationship with one another is what makes the world so sweet, that we would like to continue living.

Our need for one another is so strong that God gets annoyed whenever any of us commits murder. God Almighty has declared, “Thou shall not kill!” He takes glory and is honoured whenever we show a little kindness to one another because every bit of kindness or love that we showed to another, God takes it as something done personally to Him. God wants us to love one another, live together as one, care for one another, etc, not that animals will take their positions in our lives. We are the redeemed of God; let no man drag us back to the place where we will be making God sad. Let us package all the evil ideas and designs of Satan and label them: BACK TO SENDER!
